Winter Storm Reminder

Hello Homeowners,

With winter weather already upon us, we’d like to remind everyone to take precautions to protect your unit — and the community — from potential cold-weather damage. A few simple steps can make a big difference in preventing frozen pipes and other costly issues:

• Let Faucets Drip:
Allow both hot and cold-water faucets to drip slowly. This helps relieve pressure in the pipes and can prevent them from freezing and bursting.

• Promote Air Circulation:
Keep cabinet doors open under sinks in kitchens and bathrooms to allow warm air to circulate around the pipes.

• Know Your Main Water Shut-Off Valve:
In the event a pipe does freeze or burst, you’ll need to shut off the main water supply immediately. Take a moment to locate your shut-off valve and ensure you know how to operate it.

• Maintain Indoor Temperature:
Keep your thermostat set to at least 60°F at all times, even if you’re away. This helps protect your plumbing, appliances, and belongings from damage. If you’ll be out of town, please provide a trusted neighbor or friend with a key so they can check your unit during periods of extreme cold.

With a small amount of snowfall currently in the forecast, please note that snow removal in your community begins after an accumulation of 2 inches or more. When your community is serviced, it only includes plowing and salting the roads/parking lots. No sidewalk or front porch services are included; this is a unit owner responsibility. Trash cans are placed around the community with calcium chloride for residents to use for their walkways and porches.  Please also be advised that the community is classified as a Priority 2 area, meaning that main roads, hospitals, and retail areas will be serviced first before plowing and salting begin within the community.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during snow events and ask that you plan ahead for potential delays. Please drive carefully, follow posted speed limits, and use extra caution when conditions are icy.

Stay warm and safe!
